Drew McCabe
Director/Actor/Dramaturgical Staff

     A
director, writer, actor, mask maker and visual artist, Drew graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2007 and has worked locally with an array of companies including the ALT Theatre, Irish Classical, Jewish Repertory Theater, and Theatre Helden.
Directing favorites of his include THE SMOKING GUN TRIO for Buffalo's American Repertory Theatre as well as A REPORT ON LIFE SO FAR and LIT-401 for the ALT Theatre.
A relatively new member of Subversive Theatre, Drew first got involved as the director of Eugene Ionesco's THE LESSON as part of the double header TOO ABSURD (2009).  Then he directed the vignette "Kangaroo Court" as part of the showcase sUBVERsIVE sHORTs 2009.  He also directed our staged reading of Bertolt Brecht's A MAN'S A MAN (2009) which he will be co-directing our full production of in May of 2010.
As an actor, Drew appeared in our experimental re-interpretation of Eugene O'Neill's THE HAIRY APE (pictured left) as part of the 2009 Buffalo "infringement" Festival.

He'd like to thank his fiancée (and fellow Troupe member) Candice and his parents for all their support.
