Drew McCabe
Director/Actor/Dramaturgical Staff

A
director, writer, actor, mask maker and visual artist, Drew graduated from the
University at Buffalo in 2007 and has worked locally with an array of
companies including the ALT Theatre, Irish Classical, Jewish
Repertory Theater, and Theatre Helden.
Directing favorites of his include THE SMOKING GUN
TRIO for Buffalo's American Repertory Theatre as well as A REPORT ON LIFE SO FAR and LIT-401 for
the ALT Theatre.
A relatively new member of Subversive Theatre, Drew
first got involved as the director of Eugene Ionesco's THE LESSON as
part of the double header TOO
ABSURD (2009). Then he directed the vignette "Kangaroo
Court" as part of the showcase sUBVERsIVE sHORTs 2009.
He also directed our staged reading of Bertolt Brecht's A MAN'S A MAN
(2009) which he will be co-directing our full production of in May of 2010.
As an actor, Drew appeared in our experimental
re-interpretation of Eugene O'Neill's THE
HAIRY APE (pictured left) as part of the 2009 Buffalo "infringement"
Festival.
He'd like to thank his fiancée (and fellow Troupe
member) Candice and his parents for all their support.
