Join us for this stunning
play that dares to try and stop the violence.
For the second installment of
our annual Subversive Youth Performance Series, Subversive
Theatre unapologetically presents William Mastrosimone's BANG,
BANG, YOU'RE DEAD -- a play that dares to look straight into the
face of high school shootings, bullying, and teenage rage in search of
understanding, healing, and hope.
First produced in the wake of
the infamous Colombine High School Shootings of 1999, this brutally honest one
act play plumbs the depths of one young man's pain and rage in the immediate
aftermath of his own acts of violence. The story is fictional, but the
issues are all too real... and all too timely.
BANG,
BANG, YOU'RE DEAD is directed by Kelly Beuth*, a drama
teacher at Buffalo's Performing Arts High School. The cast features a
long list of Ms. Beuth's student actors including Tamia Horton, Cierra
Cappas, Erin Crowell, Daijah Dabney, Magdalena Diaz, Perris
Fortson, Pandora Kew, Randi Langdon, Travis LeFevre, Dana Mingo, Miracle
Rodriguez, Brianna Simmons, Kajana Stover, and Diamond Turner.

Pedersen* with Set Design by Ashley Bobbett*, Sound Design by Kelly Beuth*,
Graphic Design by Scot Kaitanowski*, and Photography & Web Design by Kurt
Schneiderman*.

with performances Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm.
Please note, there will be NO PERFORMANCE FRIDAY, JUNE 1st. Tickets are $20 General Admission and $15 for student,
seniors, and Subversive Theatre members.
For all Wednesday performances admission is pay-what-you-can.

Subversive Theatre's regular performance venue The
Manny Fried Playhouse at 255 Great Arrow Avenue on the third floor of
North Buffalo's Great Arrow Building.

Our "Subversive Youth Performance
Series" began with last year's performance of TICK,
TICK... BOOM! by Jonathan Larson. Our production starred
Performing Arts students Daniel Henderson & Connor Graham and was
sponsored by Performing Arts Alumnus Jesse L. Martin.
BANG,
BANG, YOU'RE DEAD is the second installment of our program and
we're proud to see it evolve and grow. And we look forward to many more
in the years ahead!
