"The thrust for freedom is the quality in tragedy which
exalts. The revolutionary questioning of the stable environment is
what terrifies. In no way is the common man debarred from such
thoughts or such actions."
-Arthur Miller

About the Crew
WAITING FOR LEFTY
Here's the fearless gang of behind-the-scenes-ians
who made everything possible (you may have to scroll down a bit before you get
to any names, but don't let that stop you)!
|
Kurt "Vile" Schneiderman*
(Director)
Subversive Theatre's Founder & Artistic Director,
Kurt is elated to at long last direct the very play that first inspired him to
dedicate his career to political theatre!
A playwright, director, Artie Award-winning lighting
designer, and life-long activist, Kurt has directed the lion's share of
Subversive Theatre's productions including THE ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN
ANARCHIST (2002), PAUL ROBESON SPEAKS OUT (2004), SINCERITY
FOREVER (2006), and THE EXCEPTION AND THE RULE (2007).
Many of his original plays have been produced by
Subversive Theatre including MANIFEST DESTINY BLUES (2003), MOTHER
DIS-COURAGE (2004/5), and -- most recently -- FOUNDATIONS (2007).
Kurt sends all his love to Jenny the Magnificent
without whom all of this would be worthless.
