     sUBVERsIVE sHORTs -- one of the world's only new play showcases devoted exclusively to American political theatre -- is back and stronger than ever with another batch of brand spankin' new shorts by radical playwrights from all across the Country!  
     This year's showcase -- installment #5 -- features fourteen powerful short plays taking on every controversial subject you could ask for.  With ten different directors and over twenty different actors, we couldn't fit it all into one night.  So this year's sHORTs features two separate line-ups of amazing new works playing on alternating nights.

    It's an extraordinary line-up of plays -- come to both evenings and see 'em all!  The final performance (Sunday, July 17th) will be a marathon performance featuring BOTH line-ups back-to-back.  This evening's presentation is also an actors' benefit night with all proceeds going to the actors.
    sUBVERsIVE sHORTs 2011 is brought together by Overall Director Kurt Schneiderman* with Set Design by Ashley Bobbett, Sound Design by Bob Van Valin, Lighting Design by Patrick Medlock-Turek, and Technical Direction by Rachel Zeller*.  This year's sHORTs was curated by Gina LaChacz, the selection committee was comprised of Gina LaChacz*, Lara Haberberger*, and Virginia Brannon*.
    Performances are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 6pm from June 16th through July 17th.  PLEASE NOTE: no performance Sunday, July 3rd.  All shows are at Subversive Theatre's regular performance venue The Manny Fried Playhouse at 255 Great Arrow Avenue on the third floor of the Great Arrow Building in North Buffalo.
    Tickets are $18 general admission or $13 for students, seniors, and Subversive Theatre members.  Bring your playbill when you come back to see the other line-up of shows are receive a $5 off discount with the purchase of your next ticket.  Doors open one half hour before each performance.
