Gordon Tashjian
(Captain Sterling)
Gordon Tashjian is a graduate of the University
of Buffalo and has appeared in productions with Shakespeare
in Delaware Park, Theater Helden, and Theater of Youth. He co-wrote LIT401:
A School Shooting
in One Act, which has seen successful productions both in NYC and here
in Buffalo at the Alt Theater.
Gordon is recently returned from Manhattan where he
worked on new plays at Richmond Shepard Theater, The Cross-town Playwrights,
and the Ensemble Studio Theater.
WATERBOARDING BLUES marks Gordon's first time
working with Subversive Theatre and we're very happy to welcome him aboard!

Dennis Keefe*
(Colonel Carnovsky/Second Subject)
Perhaps best known from his time as the announcer of
the "Danny in the Morning" Show on WHTT, Dennis is a
veteran actor with a long list of both radio and stage credits that include Buffalo United Artists, Alleyway,
Theater of Youth, Ujima, and the Buffalo
Ensemble Theatre.
An ever-reliable member of Subversive Theatre, Dennis
has appeared in our productions of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON MY WAY
TO SHOOT THE CZAR (2004), ARE YOU NOW OR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN
(2004), THE MOTHER (2005),
FOUNDATIONS (2007),
and -- most recently -- THE
MAN WHO NEVER DIED (May Day, 2008) |

Robert "Hodie" Hodas*
(First Reporter/Polish Interpreter/First Investigator)
A member of Subversive Theatre's Board of Directors, "Hodie"
is a long-time union activist and political organizer who feels right at home
in any "subversive" endeavor.
While having only recently begun acting in full scale
productions, Hodie has graciously
performed in a number of Subversive Theatre's staged readings over the years
including ARE YOU NOW
OR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN (2003), BURY
THE DEAD (2005), THE
MOTHER (2005), and others.
Most recently, Hodie appeared in our production of DROP
HAMMER (2008).

Jessica Stuber*
(Second Reporter/Merissa/Second Investigator)
A recent graduate of the Musical Theatre Program at
the University at Buffalo, Jessica's recent roles include: Mary in MERRILY
WE ROLL ALONG and the leading roles of
Ante and Locusta in the soon-to-be-released independent short film SUCCUMB.
A valued member of Subversive Theatre, Jessica has
appeared in our productions of WAITING FOR LEFTY
(2008), NICKEL
AND DIMED (2008), and most recently ...AND
THEY PUT HANDCUFFS ON THE FLOWERS. (2008).
With a wide range of behind-the-scene talents in
addition to her acting skills, Jessica has also served as our costume designer for multiple
productions. |

John Vines
(Third Reporter/Third Investigator/Aramaic Interpreter)
John Vines studied theatre in New York City under the
direction of Marilyn Fried of the Actor's Studio. Stage credits in the
New York area include A WINDOW IN HARLEM, MIND, BODY, & SOUL,
and OLODUM. Screen credits include the independent films THREE
ROUNDS and THE BOX PREACHER as well as work as an extra in the
Hollywood film THE INTERPRETER.
Recently moved to Buffalo, John is starting to become
active in the Buffalo theatre community. WATERBOARDING BLUES is his first production in
our area and his debut performance with Subversive Theatre.

James Wild
(Lieutenant Thorne)
A recent graduate of the University at Buffalo with a
B.F.A. in Theatre, James is currently a member of the New ALT Performance
group, and is very happy to be doing a his third show with the Subversive
Theatre.
Recent stage credits include seen in A REPORT
ON LIFE SO FAR and SUCH FOOLISH AFFECTED LADIES at the ALT
Theatre. He is also very proud to have played both starring roles in
LIT 401: A School Shooting in One Act by Drew Derek and
Gordon Tashjian.
Previous appearances with Subversive Theatre include WAITING
FOR LEFTY (2008) and -- most recently -- TOO ABSURD! (2009) |

Travis Hedland
(Fourth Reporter/First Subject/Third Subject)
Travis is a recent graduate of the Buffalo Academy for
Visual and Performing Arts where he acted in numerous productions
including DEAD MAN WALKING and directed MOUSE TRAP
and THE ODD COUPLE.
As an actor, Travis works with
Theater for Change. Behind the scenes, he has stage managed the annual V-Day for Buffalo
benefit for the last four years running. Most recently, he stage managed
the Brazen Faced Varlets' production of MY SISTER IN THIS HOUSE at the
Alt Theatre.
With Subversive Theatre, Travis stage managed our
production of PALACE
OF THE END earlier this season and recently appeared in sUBVERsIVE
sHORTs 2009.
