Subversive Screenings!

Yes!  Subversive Theatre recently added the screening of radical films, documentaries, and clips to our unabashed arsenal of events.
For our next "Subversive Screening," we are proud to present:

"THE MURDER OF FRED HAMPTON"
Saturday, October 17th at 4pm
at the mighty Manny Fried Playhouse

(third floor of the Great Arrow Building, 255 Great Arrow Avenue)

donations accepted at the door
light fare & refreshments served

ABOUT THE FILM:

Fred Hampton was the leader of the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party. This film depicts his brutal murder by the Chicago police and its subsequent investigation, but also documents his activities in organizing the Chapter, his public speeches, and the programs he founded for children during the last eighteen months of his life.

Please join us as we look back on the life and death of this extraordinary organizer and revolutionary.  An informal discussion immediately after the screening.

And check back soon to find out about other "Subversive Screenings" still to come!
