Special
Programs
Ya know,
like, annual play serieses, staged readings, special events, competitions, and stuff like
that.
Over the years, Subversive Theatre has developed
its fair share of recurring programs that have grown into institutions in
their own right. Click on any of the links below to find out more about
each one.
- Our Annual "infringement" Festival Production
After helping to found the Buffalo "infringement"
Festival in 2005, Subversive Theatre continues to present something
especially experimental and genre-defying for this Festival each summer.
- Our Annual May Day
Staged Reading Series
Our little way to help keep the tradition of May Day
alive!
- Our Annual Workers'
Power Play Series
We set aside one production slot each year for plays especially
relevant to the concerns of working people and organized labor
- Our Biennial sUBVERsIVE
sHORTs Showcase
One of the very few new play competitions devoted exclusively
to political plays by American playwrights, this program is inspiring
proof that political theatre is alive and well in America today!
- Our Educational Programs
Yes, Subversive Theatre is on the ready with plays and/or speakers
for strikes, rallies, demonstrations, workshops, symposiums, conferences,
or any other issue-oriented event you can think of!
