the world debut of...

by Buffalo's own Mark Humphrey*

  TWO
  AFTERNOONS
  AT KELLY'S

          directed by Jack Hunter*

starring Dan Greer and Trevor Dugan

a gruff south buffalo bar in the early 1960s, the beer is cold, the beef on weck is sliced thick, the steel mills are threatening to close, Kennedy is President, half of america is busy hating the other half... and a gunshot hundreds of miles away is about to change their world forever...

subversive theatre is honored to launch the world premiere of this uniquely Buffalo tale with an important lesson about overcoming your own prejudices to better understand the person standing right next to you.  based on the author's first-hand experience of this stunning moment in history, Buffalo's award-winning African-American playwright Mark Humphrey* takes us on an unmistakably honest journey into the past for an intense discussion of questions that are still ripping our society apart today

Subversive Theatre is also honored to welcome accomplished actor/director Jack Hunter* for his first time directing in our den of subversion.  the cast features Daniel Greer and Trevor Dugan opposite Lawrence Rowswell*, Shakora HP, and Margo Davis
